If you need an employer to sponsor your H-1B, some careers make it far easier than others.
These are ranked by how often the role is actually sponsored and how often those petitions
were approved — a starting point for choosing a field, not a guarantee for any one person.
Most visa-friendly occupations · sponsorship score
Score = how many petitions are filed (volume) weighted by the historical approval rate.
Click any bar to dig into that role's sponsors.
A high score means employers routinely sponsor this role and those petitions
tend to be approved — it does not mean you personally will be sponsored or selected. H-1B is a
lottery. Historical data only; not immigration or legal advice.
How this is built. Sponsorship volume and approval rates come from public USCIS H-1B
data; the "feeder major → career" links use the same college-major-to-occupation graph behind the rest of
the site, joined to the visa data. This joins job, salary and visa data across sources — it needs the
filing counts, the approval rates, and the major→career map together. Everything here describes past group
patterns, not your individual outcome. Rules are set by USCIS/DOL; consult official sources and a licensed attorney.
